Incorporating meditation into our studio at Exhale Lake Oconee

Meditation is not as hard as you think.

Do you have unrealistic expectations of your meditation? Do you think all thoughts will disappear and you’ll immediately be peaceful?

The only time you are truly in the present moment is when you’re following your breath.

Let go of judgment…Relax Let of criticism…Relax Let go of expectations...Relax

Breathe…Become aware of sensations in your body. Imagine stepping back from your mind and becoming the witness without judgement, without a story and just watching your thoughts.

If that feels too hard, just observe sensations in your body, feel the air on your skin, be present in the moment to what is happening in your body. Feel your belly rise and fall. Follow your breath through your body from nasal passages to the lungs and then out again.

If that feels too hard then just keep relaxing your body and notice how you feel when you’re relaxed. Be patient with yourself. Have fun and don’t take it too seriously.
